760-1417 Water Supply The water supply shall be adequate, of a safe and sanitary quality, from an approved source, and shall meet the requirements of the New York State Sanitary Code (10 NYCRR Part 5) and the Administrative Rules and Regulations of the New York State Department of Health (10 NYCRR Part 72). This section follows predictably from each section of Food Sanitation Codes but its application seems as though it requires body art establishments to determine if the water supply meets the requirements quoted. This is unclear. Another point, do samples have to be submitted to teh Department for testing and approval, say Poland Spring or other foreign bottle waters, before being allowed to be used?
