...The Agency (OSHA) does not want food and drink to be kept in areas where it or its packaging may be contaminated through processes such as leakage/spilling of specimen containers, contact with contaminated items, or performance of activities (e.g. lab analysis) that could generate splashes, sprays, or droplets of blood or OPIM." Eating, drinking, smoking applying cosmetics or lip balm, and handling contact lenses are prohibited in work area where there is a reasonable likelihood of occupational exposure.
1910.1030(d)(2)(xi)
Food and drink shall not be kept in refrigerators, freezers, shelves, cabinets or on countertops or benchtops where blood or other potentially infectious materials are present.

It is not reasonable to think this applies to a tattoo or piercing work room or area.
