We notice that in the rear of the complex there is an old stucco building with a front porch and steps. 20 or so stray dogs are sitting on the steps or wandering around sniffing at each other. They are underfed and mangy looking but seem friendly enough, wagging their corkscrew tails in short cautionary jabs.
