Authentic Swiss Tattoo Machine

Made in Switzerland.

These three all use a motor but are incorrectly
called "Rotary" because
they produce reciprocating linear motion.
The needle bar does not "rotate"
around the drive shaft.

This distinction is more than just "names" because the history
of tattoo as it was, needs to be remembered and passed
on to the next generation.
Otherwise, everything gets forgotten.
There is a long history and denigration of "rotary" machines and those who used them because they came from and were used in  prisons.  "Tattooists" wanted to set themselves apart
.
The same "stigma" was attached to anyone
calling a tattoo machine a "gun".
If you called the tattoo machine a "gun" that
meant you were just out of Jail.
Times change and we are more relaxed about our terminology but we should keep our history.

Old style Rotary is also available for $ 29.95
